Welcome back to another exciting season of ASIFA-East animation programs! The board returned last week after a relaxing summer to begin planning our 2014-2015 season. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at our upcoming events!
Friends of ASIFA-East, Ottawa 2011
To start things off, a sizable contingent of ASIFA-East community members will be attending the Ottawa International Animation Festival from September 17 – 21, 2014. We invite you to join us there as we gather together with other animation fans to celebrate our love for all things animated! We will gather together for a group photo at 3pm at the Animator’s Picnic on Friday, September 19th. Don’t forget, ASIFA members qualify for a discounted pass to the festival.
For those of us not going to Ottawa, ASIFA-East will be attending the 2014 SVA Alumni Film & Animation Festival from September 19 – 21, 2014. This festival will feature a free midnight screening of “Beavis & Butthead Do America” followed by a Q&A with Director Yvette Kaplan on 9/20, with an introduction by ASIFA-East! There will be screenings, premieres of new work, behind-the-scenes looks at box office hits and classics, and special Q&As with industry insiders, hosted by some of the college’s most accomplished film, video, and animation alumni.
