Our friends at the Northwest Animation Festival have written us with the news that they are currently accepting film entries for 2015—and entry is free if you get your film in by October 1. (After October 1, there is a low entry fee of $10-$30 which can be paid online. The final deadline is December 1, 2014.)
Northwest Animation Festival is now reportedly the largest showcase of animated films in the USA. Organizers plan to screen 200+ entries from around the world in ten days and two cities. The 2015 festival will take place on May 4-10 in Portland, Oregon with most programs repeated May 15-17 in Eugene, Oregon, plus later one-day “Best of the Fest” screenings during September. Additional programs and events will include an industry showcase, art displays, after-parties, and more.
The Festival advises that you may submit films “made at any time during your life” and are free to simultaneously show your work online or at other festivals. Send films via Vimeo, Dropbox, or “whichever file-sharing service you like best.”
