Students at The High School of Art and Design in Manhattan are majoring in animation and graduating fully certified in Toon Boom Animate Pro.  Mike Klein, an SVA grad with roots in the NY Animation scene, is guiding 90 students through a 3 year program covering cartooning and animation, Toon Boom assessment and certification, and 3D animation in Maya.  Since starting the program in 2012, 30 students have gained their Toon Boom Certification and some have gone on to win competitions and even have job opportunities.  You can read more about this exciting program on Toon Boom’s website at http://www.toonboom.com/community/success-stories/high-school-art-and-design.  We here at ASIFA-East congratulate and wish these students the best and continued success in their endeavors.  Thank you Mike Klein for helping prepare them to be the animation leaders of tomorrow.
