    Couldn’t you say that about any contest? Enter at your own risk, one should know that stepping into it. I’d be curious to know if entering would disqualify the film from film festivals though. That would make a difference.

    i would recommend studying the terms of entry before blindly promoting a contest to an organization comprised of independent artists, many of them young and perhaps not knowledgeable about the types of rights they’d be giving up by entering such a contest.

    There are a hundred such contests like these throughout the web. It is advisable to any independent artist to always read the rules and terms of any contest they enter into.
