It’s tax time again! Please join ASIFA-East as we welcome Steven Zelin, The Singing CPA, to come speak with us on all things taxes. Steven’s done this workshop with us for a few years now, and it’s always a big hit. Bring all your tax questions – we know you have many – and come prepared to sing along! Whether you are a freelancer looking for deductions, or working full time and have questions about retirement planning, there will be something helpful for everyone at this event.   There will also be a health insurance representative to answer any questions as regards health insurance and taxes.

WHO IS STEVEN ZELIN, CPA? Known simply as the Singing CPA, Steve has a sharp wit and a gift for creating compelling song parody. He has appeared on ABC Nightline, in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and National Public Radio. Steven earned an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Fordham, plus has Series 6, 7 & 63 licenses. During this training session, you will hear Steven’s funny songs about taxes, gain insights into the latest changes in tax law, and get solid general tax advice for animators and other freelancers. After graduating from Alfred University in 1998 with a B.S. In Accounting, Steven began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Following stints at corporate banks JP Morgan Chase and Societe Generale, Steve started his own accounting firm acquired a bookkeeping firm and teaches accounting at Long Island University.
