Animation Scholar Looking to Interview Local NYC Independent Animators

We’ve been contacted by Animation Scholar Eliska Decka, who is looking to interview local independent animators in NYC. Please contact her if you are available to help her out! See below:

I’m Eliska Decka, a 3rd year PhD candidate at the Film School (also called FAMU) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. I’m also a member of the Society for Animation Studies which gathers animation scholars from all over the world. In my Phd research I don’t want to focus only at the animation theory but also some practice and personal experience. That’s why I decided to do various interviews with independent animators and people involved in the independent animation community (like producers, festival organizers, teachers of animation etc.) in Prague and here in NYC and try to compare those personal experiences and try to make some good practice or recommendations out of it. I’m really interested in your own personal experience – what works/worked and doesn’t work/didn’t work for you, in your case.

I’ll be happy and so greatful if you could give me a little of your time and help me with my research. Thank you, Eliska
