Thanks to all who entered the 46th Annual ASIFA-East Animated Film Festival!! Judging begins March 17, 2015! All current ASIFA-East members are eligible and strongly encouraged to participate in our juror screenings. Now is the time to become a member and participate in selecting our 2015 Award Winners!! Jury Screening Nights

Tuesday, March 17, 2015: SVA: 3rd Floor Amphitheater. Ballot pickup begins at 6:30pm. Screening 7pm sharp.
Thursday, March 19, 2015: SVA: 3rd Floor Amphitheater. Ballot pickup begins at 6:30pm. Screening 7pm sharp.
Tuesday, March 24, 2015: SVA: Room 502. Ballot pickup begins at 7pm. Screening 7:30pm sharp.
Thursday, March 26, 2015: SVA: 3rd Floor Amphitheater. Ballot pickup begins at 6:30pm. Screening 7pm sharp.

Please stay tuned to this website for updates on which categories will be screened each night. Update is expected to be announced by Sunday, March 8th once the entries are sorted.

The School of Visual Arts (SVA) is located at 209 East 23 Street, New York, NY. Members should arrive 30 minutes ahead to sign in to get a ballot. Screenings begin on time. Admission is free but only up to date members may vote. New members/renewals accepted at each event or visit https://asifaeast.com/join-asifa-east/ and bring your PayPal receipt to the screenings.

Awards Ceremony

Please join ASIFA-East for our 2015 Animation Festival Awards Ceremony! Awards will be presented, bashful thank you’s recorded, and a lively reception will follow.

Please note: Our Awards Ceremony will be held in the NEW Tishman Auditorium at 63 Fifth Avenue, at the Northeast corner of 13th Street and 5th Avenue. Our Reception will be held at Wollman Hall directly after the Awards Ceremony. Wollman Hall is located on the 5th floor at 65 West 11th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue. Refreshments and drinks will be served. You must be 21 to drink. Please bring ID. Please stay tuned for more details.

The Awards Ceremony and Reception afterwards are free and open to the public. We would appreciate the donation of $5 from non-members to help us continue serving the animation community in New York area and beyond.

Debuting in 1969, the ASIFA-East Animated Film Festival is one of the longest running festivals of its kind. The festival is a unique showcase for the most groundbreaking independent and commercial animation being produced in the industry today. Every February, entries are submitted and judged during special jury screenings in March. Only current ASIFA-East members are permitted to vote for the winning films. The votes are sealed and tallied by an independent accountant and announced at a special awards ceremony in the Spring.
