THE POLISH SCHOOL OF ANIMATION: Next Generations 2

A retrospective of Polish animation from the last 60 years, featuring short films by Tomasz Bagiński, Anita Kwiatkowska, Jerzy Kucia and much more.

*The Kosciuszko Foundation will be presenting Day 1 (10/10/14) and Day 4 (10/14/14) of the screenings. Days 2 and 3 on Saturday and Sunday will be held at Videology (308 Bedford Ave #1, New York, NY 11211).*

Day 1 will close with a Q&A with special guests Wiola Sowa (President of ASIFA-Poland, and a director) and Bogusław Zmudziński (artistic director of the International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima) followed by an open reception.

The Polish School of Animation project aspires to give international recognition to the more-than-fifty-years-old output of Polish animation. The program is composed in such a way that the first screening (1959-1981) brings back classical achievements of Polish animation, while the next three present productions of a younger generations of artists who have made their debuts more recently.

These events are free of charge. Please RSVP at: asifaeastevents@gmail.com with information about which screening you are interested in attending.
