ASIFA-East and the Norwegian Consulate General are proud to present a spotlight on Norwegian Animation!
This year Odd Is An Egg by Kristin Ulseth is being screened as part of the TriBeCa Film Festival, and is produced through Norway’s largest and most prominent animation studio, Qvisten Animation. It is just one of several international “Animated Shorts: Curated by Whoopi Goldberg,” a program that is being screened 3 times this month, starting Saturday 4/22/17. Odd Is An Egg joins Norway’s great animations, such as Angry Man (2010), The Danish Poet (2006), and One Day a Man Bought a House (1998).
Join us Sunday night at 9pm, April 23rd, for a sneak peak of Odd Is An Egg at M1-5 Bar & Lounge, and for the chance to meet the filmmakers from TriBeCa’s animated shorts program! Industry professionals, local animation artists, and more are invited, (including celebrities and Academy members!). Meet new friends and reconnect with old ones at our private open bar and kitchen, with plenty of space to chat, eat, or dance with our ASIFA DJ!
+1 guest for ASIFA members and VIP only, otherwise EventBrite for door list
Odd Is An Egg will reveal behind-the-scenes with posters and giveaways!
M1-5 Bar is just a few minutes walk from the TriBeCa Film Festival’s Shorts Film Party at the Harley-Davidson Store, and is the perfect after-party! We can’t wait to see you there!
This event is brought to you by the Royal Norwegian Consulate General New York, and ASIFA East.
