ASIFA-East Festival Voting Postponed!

Update: Tue. March 10th,

To all our filmmakers and festival viewers,

We have just received word that the School of Visual Arts has decided to cancel their amphitheatre events until further notice. We feel that this is a responsible and proactive decision, during New York’s current health crisis.

ASIFA regrets to postpone the jury screenings until further notice, and will keep you updated about our plans.

Hello!  It’s that time of year again, spring is coming and it’s time to rain judgment down upon our wonderful film fest submissions!
Debuting in 1969, the ASIFA-East Animated Film Festival is one of the longest running festivals of its kind. The entries are judged by ASIFA East members in an open screening for each category.

Anyone may attend the screenings for free, but only current ASIFA East members are permitted to vote for the winning films. The votes are sealed and tallied by an independent accountant and announced at a special awards ceremony in May.
(Sign up on our website today!  Or renew in person at our screenings!)

There will be FIVE nights of competition screening.
You can see it on our event calendar
***(Filmmakers will be notified which screening is theirs).***

ASIFA Members should arrive at 6:30 to receive their ballot!
Student Films 1, Tue. March 10, 7-10pm (Amphitheater)
Student Films 2, Tue. March 17, 7-10pm (Amphitheater)
Student Films 3, Wed. March 18, 7-10pm (Room 502)
Commercial Work, Tue. March 19, 7-10pm (Room 502)
Independent Films and Experimental, Tue. March 24, 7-10pm (Amphitheater)

We love to wash our hands, grab food and drinks after the screening, so stick around!
