DESCRIPTION:It’s time to sit back and relax for another hefty batch of 16mm (no digital!) animated cartoons from the 1910s to the 1940s\, straight from the Stathes Archives to the silver screen at Shoestring Press… \n \nThroughout animation history\, it was immensely popular to adapt (and spoof!) classic fairytales and fables from antiquity…sometimes giving them a ‘modern’ spin. This was especially true in the era of theatrical shorts\, and we’re showcasing these whimsical animated versions of yesteryear to combat a dreary bit of February cabin fever. Mother Goose? Little Red Riding Hood? Cinderella? Snow White? Aladdin? Jack & the Beanstalk? We’ll have ’em\, and many others\, at TSCC #53. Bring a friend…bring the kids…bring anyone!! \nShow tix $10 at the door.\nLight refreshments will be available for purchase from Shoestring Press. \nDoors at 8pm; show starts promptly thereafter.
