On Saturday, March 20th, the Cartoon Carnival will overrun Vaudeville Park for its fifth installment: a two-part program of hand-selected 16mm treasures abandoned by history and reactivated by whiz kid curator Stathes. We were treated to a Secret of Kells screening a few weeks back.

The film, now nominated for best animated film of the year (which I think it deserves) was directed by Tomm Moore.

Members Fran Krause and Will Krause and Chris Siemasko (and others) did some work on this fun spot for Pioneer. (The feller with the full beard looks like Dan Meth).

Hearty congrats to Irra Verbitsky whose film “The Portrait” was recently given the Directors Choice Award at the Black Mariah Film Festival.
